blood moon He's the product of a lawyer father and his new wife, of a man with a family already rooted that he continues to question why another seed needed to be planted. As the youngest of three, Jaeho's always perceived himself to be the runt of the litter, and growing up as the half-a-Seo felt more like a burden than an actual blessing.

Jaeho's ten when he finds himself giving up on gaining his father's approval. His younger years were spent trying to be the smartest in his class, the quickest, or even the strongest but with a brain too unfocused, reflexes too slow, and body too small - his father can only relentlessly inquire why can't you be more like..... It's why he clung to his mother so desperately, feeding and relying off her energy because at least he was her only son; she was his only ally.

When his mother begins to pull away year after year, Jaeho doesn't notice because to him - the only person in this world who could do no wrong was, after all, his mother.

☽ ☾

Jaeho's thirteen when he finds music as a source of independence, playing the piano until his fingers ached and beating on drums until the pounding of his own heart is silenced. He spends more and more of his time alone in his room, fiddling with the ins and outs of music software to help him build an impressive portfolio. Needless to say, none of his peers seemed to approve. Not when he goes to a school full of snooty, wealthy children who valued counting money and ways to enhance it as opposed to music and hobbies meant for those "without a brighter future".

His older brother takes it upon himself to fight on Jaeho's behalf, all the while mumbling about wanting to take care of him. Jaeho's pride, however, is the one bruised as that provided an invitation for others to gang up on him and accuse him of hiding behind the older Seo's fists. It fuels his need to brush his brother aside, to tell him that he doesn't need his help but in turn, that only pushes a stubborn Kangjoon to try and break down his brother's walls.

Jaeho wasn't ever impressed.

☽ ☾

What happens at age fourteen changes the way Jaeho views a lot of things about the world. A car accident on the road involving himself, his father, and his older brother wrecks the one rare day where everything seemed to have fallen into place, where everything felt like they were going right. He witnesses his father protecting Kangjoon upon impact before everything turns dark, and as the sun settled behind them, the moon does what he feels his father never did: protectively watched over him.

He's fourteen when he's tossed into his older sister's care, Hyosung becoming the figure of authority to both him and Kangjoon when Jaeho's mother goes out for groceries and never comes back. With their father now passed, he doesn't remember a time where he's ever stopped by his grave to say his final goodbye. After all, the responsibility to do so just never felt like something he was meant to take on. It doesn't help that he finds himself weaker during the day, body refusing to perk up until the sun sets and the sky turns black. He writes it off as him being a night owl, one that feels invincible when the moon is full and the sky is clear.

☽ ☾

Jaeho continues on with his music to the best of his ability after the accident - becoming an underground DJ at age eighteen and a popular jockey at the age of twenty. He gathers a following based off his performance alone and is praised particularly for his outdoor performances where his stages look like pure magic. They call him DJ Eclipse and he travels the world like it is fate for him to do so, but in reality - the further away he is from home, the more he feels like he has a reason to find himself.

He doesn't attend university like many expected him to and lives off the riches he's managed to provide for himself. At twenty-one, he's found fame in countries like America, Spain, England and Japan, and has even dabbled in love with a female DJ he's met abroad. Regardless, Jaeho can casually come to say that he still doesn't feel complete and has spent many nights pondering why the days feel empty despite being surrounded by all he's ever wanted.

Due to this, Jaeho returns to Korea after a yearlong stay in England, hoping to one day find solace in the home he's grown to shun.

half moon
Virgo strengths:
☽ Analytical
☽ Observant
Helpful
☽ Reliable
Precise

Virgo weaknesses:
☾ Skeptical
☾ Fussy
☾ Inflexible
☾ Cold
Interfering

Virgo is a very independent zodiac sign. They are fully able to put their intelligence to use and get things done for themselves. It is possible however that their narrow mindedness causes their creativity to suffer and they may lead regular routine lives. They may dwell too much on the past and over complicate things and this may limit their ability to move forward and confuse themselves. In conclusion, Virgos are able to be independent but the less evolved types will have difficulty if someone is not there helping them to achieve more and not be so critical of themselves.
Water Monkey:

☽ Smart
☽ Quick-witted
☽ Fond of being in the limelight
Haughty

People born in a year of the Monkey are witty, intelligent, and have a magnetic personality. Personality traits, like mischievousness, curiosity, and cleverness, make them very naughty. Monkeys are masters of practical jokes, because they like playing most of the time. Though they don't have any bad intentions, their pranks sometimes hurt the feelings of others. Monkeys are fast learners and crafty opportunists.
eclipse As the keeper of the moon, Jaeho’s abilities stem from the moon’s light and energy thus making him completely durable and more powerful during the night. As his brother’s counterpart, he can alter his abilities to regenerate quicker, become faster and stronger, as well as manipulate water (due to the moon’s connection with the earth's tides).

His abilities are dependent on the phases of the moon, and while he is more powerful at night - the phase of the moon can act as a variant as to how powerful he becomes. For example, with the new moon - Jaeho can find his abilities at their bare minimum. Whereas with a full moon, he's nearly invincible. In addition, against his brother's abilities - Jaeho is perfectly matched so long as twilight is on his side. If not, Jaeho's terribly weaker against his brother during the day, but can overpower him during the night.

A BOND OF SIBLINGS:

"LIKE THE PLANETS FALL INTO ORBIT OF ONE ANOTHER AND THE FALL OF THEIR OWN GRAVITY, THE SIBLINGS FELL INTO TIES TOWARD ONE ANOTHER THAT ARE UNBREAKABLE. WHILE THEY CAN SERIOUSLY HARM ONE ANOTHER AND DO DEVESTATING DAMAGE TO THE WORLD AROUND THEM THEY COULD NEVER ACTUALLY KILL ONE ANOTHER AND THESE BONDS ARE PART OF WHY. IN THEIR CONNECTION TO ONE ANOTHER THEY CAN FEEL, READ AND SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER OVER VARIOUS PSYCHIC MEDIUMS; THEY ARE ALSO CAPABLE OF ECLIPSING ONE ANOTHER, THE SUN AND MOON, IF THEY COME INTO DIRECT ENOUGH CONFLICT. IN THE FULLEST SCOPE OF THEIR ABILITY THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO MANIFEST AN ECLIPSE, A STASIS OF TIME AND PLACE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLANET, FOR THEIR USE BUT SEEING AS THEY ARE IN PRETTY CONSTANT CONFLICT NONE OF THE SIBLINGS HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF ACTUALLY GROWING THEIR BONDS TOGETHER."
lunar mark As the moon's embodiment, Jaeho has the ability to manifest a weapon during battle. His trusty bow is a tangible reflectant of the moon's light and glows something fierce in his hands. He can summon it by unlocking his own energy into a treasured object he wears on his person: his sterling silver necklace, and can shoot at large distances with accurate precision. His arrows are dispersed in unlimited amounts at will and his bow is nearly invincible. The only two things that can break his bow are 1) sunlight and 2) his brother's blade if used with enough force. However, his bow can regenerate given some time and can once again be called to him at will.

In addition, Jaeho is blessed with the moon's spirit - taking form of a white phoenix to contrast his brother's flaming dragon. The phoenix hails down to the earth covered in ice and blasts enemies with shards that cut like glass. When around the phoenix, the air turns cold but the only traces it leaves behind are frosted footprints that melt away with every step. It protects Jaeho in battle and guides his arrows to always hit their mark. When the phoenix calls, it can harm by deafening others or it can sing melodic songs; this is dependent on Jaeho's intentions. It only beckons upon Jaeho's command and entrusts its loyalty and power only to him.

family
seo minguk
Father. Lawyer. Deceased. Ruled with an iron fist and only wanted the best for his children. Jaeho and Minguk's relationship was strained and Jaeho believed his father only cared for his past wife and two children; Hyosung and Kangjoon. However, Minguk never once overlooked Jaeho and worked to ensure Jaeho found confidence within himself - a secret Jaeho never came to know. Til this day, Jaeho still despises the old man though deep down he wishes he had his father's approval.
kim minkyung
Mother. His heart. MIA. Minkyung was Jaeho's rock and Jaeho can only see his mother in the utmost positive light despite her leaving the family at their darkest time. He remembers her as kind, gentle, and soft-spoken and while many have claimed her to be dead, Jaeho believes she's still alive out there - waiting for him to find her.
seo hyosung
Older sister. Iron fist. Guardian. WIP.
seo kangjoon
Older brother. Protector. Annoyance. Kangjoon and Jaeho's relationship is a strange one, indeed. While Jaeho doesn't necessarily despise his brother, he is certainly not very friendly with him either. They constantly bicker and fight, even going as far as to use their abilities against one another - but when push comes to shove, Jaeho is willing to lay his pride down to help his brother. For the sake of family loyalty and only I can beat him up purposes, of course.
